Audience tantalized by a sixth sense he doesn't possess

Steve Banachek, the ever popular campus performer, came, saw (with more than one sense) and definitely conquered the audience last night in the Todd Wehr Auditorium.

Banachek amazed the audience with his seemingly psychic abilities, which he kept tantalizingly telling the audience that he didn't possess, but rather that he used his five senses to create the illusion of a sixth sense. He performed a variety of feats including bending silverware by simply gliding his hand along its surface, reading pieces of paper and discerning objects hanging inches above his head - while completely blind (due to heavy duty duct tape)!

Perhaps the most amazing, and definitely most dangerous of his feats was his self-named "Death Test." In this spectacle, Banachek selected five people from the audience and had then choose one of five knives wrapped in envelopes sitting on a stool. Three of knives were false, two were real. The audience members seemingly had free choice, but that idea was later dashed when a piece of paper was read which said who would take the false knives and who would take the real ones. To test this in the most dramatic way possible, Banachek had the members (with the supposed false knives) stab down onto his chest with the enveloped knives. He was proven to be correct with his prediction, and no ambulance needed to be called.

In all, it was quite a performance and will definitely be remembered by all who participated in it, and all who witnessed his unique abilities.
